Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 August 2026
By using MedFolio or this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Not medical advice
MedFolio is a tool for organizing and storing medical documents. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. AI-generated summaries and automatically extracted details may be incomplete or inaccurate and must be verified against the original documents. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
2. Your content and responsibility
You are responsible for the documents you add and for keeping your device secure. Your medical data is stored on your device; we do not have access to it. You are responsible for your own backups — uninstalling the app or losing your device (or your backup key) may result in permanent data loss.
3. Optional AI and backup
The AI feature is optional and, when used, sends the selected document to Google's Gemini API, subject to Google's terms. Free AI scans are provided on a limited, best-effort basis and may change or be withdrawn at any time. The optional backup uploads an encrypted copy to your own Google Drive; you are responsible for retaining the encryption key needed to restore it.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the app or website to store unlawful content, to infringe others' rights, or to disrupt or abuse the free-tier services.
5. No warranty
The app and website are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that OCR/AI output will be accurate.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app or website.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
